purpose: This edition introduces residents to key concepts and elements in the realm of ophthalmic surgery. It covers patient selection and preparations for both patient and surgeon, as well as surgical instrumentation and materials including loupes, microscopes, instruments, blades, suture materials and needles. This teaching tool supports the Academy's curriculum for ophthalmologists in training.
